Eyedropper

Click on the canvas to sample a color. Left-click picks the primary draw color, right-click picks the secondary color.

Sample mode

A dropdown in the tool options bar controls where the color is read from:

• All layers — samples the composited result of all visible layers
• Current layer — reads only from the active layer, ignoring everything above and below
• First reference layer — samples from the first reference layer, useful for tracing over imported images

Quick access

Hold Alt while using any drawing tool to temporarily activate the eyedropper. Release Alt to return to the previous tool.
